Privacy Policy
Last updated 1 September 2026
dwsoft is an independent software project. This policy covers the dwsoft website and three applications: dive.dwsoft.net, dypro.dwsoft.net, and dyfin.dwsoft.net. The sections below describe DIVE unless they name another application.
There is no public sign-up. DIVE accounts are created only by an administrator for named users. dypro and dyfin need no account at all. No application here ever asks a visitor to enter credentials for another service, bank, or provider, and none sends unsolicited email.
What DIVE collects
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Account record — email address, username, display name | Identifying the account holder and controlling access to projects |
| Password, stored only as a bcrypt hash | Authentication. The plain password is never stored or logged |
| Engineering content you enter — projects, equipment and line data, drawings, uploaded spreadsheets | Operating the application; this is your working data |
| Server request logs — timestamp, path, status, request id | Operating and debugging the service |
| Error diagnostics via Sentry — stack trace, browser and OS version, page URL, IP address | Diagnosing crashes. Triggered only when an error occurs |
No advertising identifiers, marketing profiles, behavioural analytics, or third-party tracking scripts are used. The dwsoft landing page collects nothing at all — it is a static page with no forms and no scripts.
dypro and dyfin
Both are open pages with no account and no server-side record of who visits. Neither one asks for a name, an email address, or a password to be used.
- dyfin calculates entirely inside your browser. The survey answers and the results are held in the page and in your browser's local storage, and are not transmitted anywhere.
- dypro keeps pasted quotations, purchase orders, and expediting records in your browser's local storage only — they are not uploaded. The page fetches public market prices through dwsoft, which passes the request to the data providers named below. If you switch on a price alarm, the settings it needs to reach you — a delivery address such as an email address or a chat id, and the settings you chose (thresholds, and the material fraction if you saved one) — are stored on Cloudflare so the scheduled job can send that message. The quotation itself is not stored.
Browser storage
DIVE stores a session token and interface preferences (panel widths, column visibility, selected project) in your browser's local storage. dypro and dyfin store your working data there, as described above. These are needed for the application to function and are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. Clearing site data signs you out and resets preferences.
Who processes the data
- Railway — application hosting and the PostgreSQL database
- Cloudflare — DNS, CDN, static hosting for this site and for dypro and dyfin, email forwarding, and storage of dypro alarm settings
- Market data providers — Yahoo Finance, the US Federal Reserve (FRED), and the Bank of Korea (ECOS) serve the price series dypro reads. They see the request, not who made it
- Sentry — error monitoring
- Anthropic — optional AI assistance features. Content is sent only when you invoke such a feature, and only the content that feature needs
Data is not sold, rented, or shared for advertising. It is disclosed to no one else except where the law requires it.
Retention and deletion
Account records and project content are kept while the account is active. You may ask for your account and its data to be deleted, or for a copy of it, and the request will be carried out within 30 days. Server logs and error reports age out on the providers' own schedules, typically within 90 days.
Security
All traffic is served over HTTPS. Passwords are stored as bcrypt hashes. Access to a project is granted per user and per role, and sessions can be revoked by an administrator.
